Everybody likes perks, so your assisted living facility should have them too. Provide cable and a big HDTV in the common room. By adding extras to your assisted living facility, you will set it apart from others in the area. Perks and activities like the ones listed below are popular in assisted living facilities these days. If your house is empty, but move-in ready, consider going to the local “Rent-to-Own” shop to furnish it. Its hard to rent an empty (meaning unfurnished and unequipped) assisted living facility. Now is the time to get those high end appliances we talked about earlier. You can rent the living room set, HDTV, Wii™, dining room set, and other items until you have collected your residents first and last months rent if allowed by your state. Some states allow condos and multi-family properties to be used as assisted living facilities. Many condo association do not allow ALF or even child day care activities. Check with the condo association or similar organization if you are thinking about converting a condo into an ALF. A Must-Read for Any Potential Assisted Living Facility Owner!
